MY NAME’S Bryndís

I am a photographer, dance performer, curator, educator, and project initiator currently working in the crossover between performance art and visual art.

My practice as a photographer, is mostly autobiographic. It deals with an uncertain emotional state of being, resulting in abstract imagery. The images I produce have attached melancholic features where feelings and experiences merge. Through my experiential work, I revolve around topics like consciousness, death, the self and alienation. This is also visible through a certain longing for tactility that reclaims a specific physicality that is nowadays being erased.
